What song is playing in this Netflix scene?
Identify it from the browser while the scene plays.
How to identify a song on Netflix
To identify a song in a Netflix show or movie, play it in Chrome or Edge with the AHA Music extension installed and click the extension icon during the scene; it listens to the tab's audio and names the track. Netflix cannot be scanned from a link because its video is protected by DRM and has no downloadable file.
- Install the AHA Music extension in Chrome or Edge.
- Play the episode or movie on netflix.com in the browser.
- When the song starts, click the AHA Music icon; it listens for a few seconds.
- Open the result for the song page and streaming links.
Why Netflix is different
Netflix video is protected by DRM: there is no file to download and nothing a link scanner can fetch. The audio, however, plays through your browser tab, and that is what the extension listens to; the DRM protects the video stream, not the sound reaching your speakers.
Songs in a scene are usually under dialogue and effects, and often only a short excerpt plays. Click as soon as the music is clearly audible; a few seconds of music over quiet dialogue is enough, a shouted argument over it is not.
Scores (the composed background music) are in the catalogue when the soundtrack was released; unreleased cues have no match. Licensed songs, the ones people search for, are the strongest case.

Questions about Netflix
Does DRM stop the extension?
No. DRM protects the video stream; the extension listens to the audio your tab plays, which is not blocked.
Does it work on other streaming services?
Yes. Anything that plays in a Chrome or Edge tab can be identified the same way.
Can I find the background score as well as the songs?
When the soundtrack was released, yes. Unreleased cues have nothing to match against.
