What anime song is this?
Openings, endings, insert songs and OST tracks, identified while they play.
How to identify a song in anime
To identify an anime song, play the scene in Chrome or Edge with the AHA Music extension installed and click the extension icon while the music plays; it listens to the tab and names the track with its original Japanese title and artist, on Crunchyroll, Netflix, YouTube, Bilibili or any player. Openings, endings and released OST albums match; unreleased background cues do not.
- Install the AHA Music extension in Chrome or Edge.
- Play the episode, AMV or clip in the browser.
- Click the AHA Music icon while the opening, ending or insert song plays.
- Open the result for the song page with the Japanese title and streaming links.
Why anime is different
Anime music is released systematically: openings and endings as singles, OSTs as albums, character songs as CDs. That makes it one of the best-covered areas of the catalogue, with Japanese titles, romanised titles and the artist as credited.
The hard cases are different from other video: an opening overlaid with dialogue in a recap, a TV-size edit of a song that only exists as a full-length single, or an insert song sung by a voice actor and released months later. TV-size edits match the full single; unreleased cues have no match.
Many anime quiz and AMV communities use AHA Music to check answers: animemusicquiz.com is among the most frequent sites in our recognitions. For an AMV, click during the song itself, not the dialogue samples.

When it fails, and what to do

- Only released OST tracks match; the OST album track list is the place to look.
- Dialogue over the insert song.
- Click at the clearest part of the song.
- A fan cover or a remix of the opening.
- Covers match only when the arrangement stays close to the original.
